Because all people have the right to live safely and with dignity, APC provides professional, non-judgmental services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence. APC seeks to foster public compassion through a proactive community that empowers and supports all. 

Emergency Services

Our 24-Hour Crisis Line is available for victims of domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault.

Legal Advocacy

On-site support for victims of domestic violence or sexual assault at the Cleveland County Courthouse including assistance with the 50B or 50C protective order process, accompaniment during civil or criminal proceedings, and referrals for legal representation including Legal Aid.

Counseling

FREE Professional Counseling Services provided by a NC Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience in helping victims of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault

  • Adults and teens (aged 13 and above) who have been victims of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence and/or Sexual Assault. 

  • Non-offending care-givers of children who have been sexually abused (Bystanders). 

  • Friends/Family seeking consultation to assist a victim of Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and/or Sexual Assault.

Shelter

We offer safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Medical Advocacy

On-site support for victims of rape, sexual assault and domestic violence can be provided at the Emergency Department, Health Department, and other local medical offices and facilities. APC can dispatch a trained advocate at the request of medical staff to support  recent adult victim of domestic violence, rape, or sexual assault. Teen victims between 13 and 17 may also be served if a parent or legal guardian is present. 704-481-0043

Community Education

We are committed to providing prevention and awareness education services relating to sexual assault and or domestic violence for any community group, school program, or faith community.
